My name is Rich O’Neil.

I grew up in the Champlain Valley of the Adirondacks and absorbed the sounds of bluegrass, jam rock, folk and other styles that permeated the mountains. I was classically trained as a percussionist and started composing classical and rock music when I was 14. I have also played guitar and piano for many years, and have recently pursued further training in jazz/blues piano.

I made many homemade recordings over the years and finally, in 2003, I recorded my first “official” album Adirondack Roots. This is a piano-centric folk recording that - through its lyrics and melodies - brings the Adirondacks to you. Check it out at CD Baby. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/richoneilshapeimage_1_link_0
